First, I tried connecting through Bluetooth. However, there is now no way of making it connect to my Mac. Bluetooth always uses 2.4GHz, so this alternative isn't available for Bluetooth. Hello, I recently bought a Logitech MX Master and it was lovely to use for the 5 minutes it worked with the unifyer. You can change this on your wireless base station. To avoid interference on the 2.4GHz band using Wi-Fi, try using the 5GHz band instead. These ports are the farthest away from the antennas, making interference less likely. If you're using adapters or dongles on a Mac computer with Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports, plug them into the front port on the left side of your Mac, or into the ports on the right side (if your computer has them). The antennas for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are located there, and USB 3 devices placed there might interfere with your wireless connections. If your USB device has a cable long enough that you can move the device, place it away from your Mac-and make sure not to place it behind your Mac, or near the hinge of its display. Some USB 3 devices can generate radio frequency interference that can cause Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices operating in the 2.4GHz band to have issues communicating with your computer. Why do I have difficulty with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth devices when USB 3 devices are attached to my computer?

This laptop only has two USB ports so I only consider the Unifying dongle a temporary and unsatisfying fix. I've gone through all the existing posts I could google about this issue and none of those solutions helped, and none of those posts explicitly mention this exact issue. The mouse shows up in the Bluetooth device list (regardless of whether I have the mouse in pairing mode or not in fact, if I put it into pairing mode then a second duplicate device shows up in the device list), and when I click connect it hangs on this screengrab saying it's trying to connect, but eventually fails and then just says the device is "not connected". They both still connect fine via the Unifying USB dongle, and I can successfully connect other Bluetooth devices to my laptop.īelow is the screengrab of what happens when I try to connect.
LOGITECH MX MASTER 2S NOT CONNECTING UPDATE
All of the sudden they both stopped working and would no longer connect (I don't think I had done any software update at that exact point in time?). I had both and MX Master and MX Master 2S connected and working via Bluetooth.
LOGITECH MX MASTER 2S NOT CONNECTING PRO
I am on a non-touchbar MacBook Pro with OS 10.13.6.
